Extron has announced that the new USB HUB4, Four-Port USB 2.0 Hub for architectural mount applications is now shipping. The USB HUB4 allows the sharing of up to four USB devices on a single host port and is available in two versions: AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate and MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plate.

Stewart Slims Down CineCurve Screen

At CEDIA last week, Stewart Filmscreen Corp. released a slimmer version of its CineCurve projection screen. Designed for smaller home theaters and installations, the Slimline CineCurve has a narrower housing or frame bezel than the original CineCurve.

Crestron Expands MPC Line

Crestron is now shipping the latest addition to its MPC family of AV room controllers, the MPC-M50. Featuring a built-in 2-Series control system, the MPC-M50 fits onto a standard three-gang electrical box. A large LCD display includes four soft and seven hard key buttons with LED feedback, all programmable for controlling system functions such as power, source selection, transport control, audio settings, and lighting, among others, according to the company.

Crestron Releases New Digital Switcher

Crestron announced the release of its new switcher, the DM-MD6X1, which the company says brings the benefits of DigitalMedia (DM) to single-room applications. According to Crestron, the DM-MD6X1 routes all analog, digital, and HDMI AV from source to display, along with USB control plus DVI and DisplayPort multimode support. Crestron says it's the company's only solution to integrate new digital HD sources into installed analog rooms using only one cable.
