RGB Spectrum has expanded its offerings of streaming and recording solutions with the addition of the new DSx 200 codec for streaming graphics over IP. The DSx 200 codec uses advanced H.264 compression to provide what the company says is an unmatched combination of outstanding image quality, performance and feature-rich capability.
The DSx 200 encodes and streams graphics to 1280x1024 resolution at up to 30 frames per second. H.264 high profile compression technology optimizes image quality with maximum bandwidth efficiency.
The codec can be used as either an encoder or decoder. Graphics streams can also be decoded with commercial off-the-shelf PC software. For encoding, the unit can display signal monitoring, displaying a live or processed (encoded/decoded) image for signal monitoring.
